Insiders HQ promises to deliver something that has been far to neglected in the affiliate marketing training industry: a long-term, comprehensive affiliate marketing training program that brings it all together. Insiders HQ‘s creators, Ran Aroussi and Phil Mansour, have just announced that their little experimental website earned $410.11 in just 8 days. We’ve reviewed this announcement and have been following the development of the Insiders HQ pre-launch.
In this article, we’ll tell you what Insiders HQ is, tell you about our extensive Insiders HQ review, and tell you about what Ran and Phil did to earn over $400 in just 8 days.
But first, we’d like to quickly tell you what Insiders HQ is.
Insiders HQ is an affiliate marketing training program by Ran Arourssi and Phil Mansour. It’s different from most other affiliate training programs because it’s focus is to be a lot more comprehansive than most other programs. That is, according to Ran, most affiliate marketing e-books and courses, as a whole, are very fragmented: it’s hard to connect all the pieces together.
A lot of affiliates have almost all of the pieces of the puzzle. Now, they need the recipe to tell them how to put the pieces together. Insiders HQ aims to be that recipe. It’s focus is on long-term, affiliate business development, as opposed to the short-term, bright-shiny-object fascination that plagues today’s Internet marketing community.
What makes Insiders HQ unique is that Ran has taught a number of the top affiliates for Clickbank. In fact, it was said that about 8 of Clickbank’s top 10 affiliates are from Ran’s country, Israel. The neat thing is that Ran runs a school in Israel, so chances are very very high that he has taught a number of these top 8.
In fact, it seems that one of these 8 might be Emil Paz. We spoke more about this in our previous Insiders HQ news item.
One of the underlying themes of this Insiders HQ pre-launch was the experiment that Ran and Phil undertook. It was basically a dare to put their money where their mouth is. They wanted to demonstrate that they could earn money live, using some of what they’ll be teaching in Insiders HQ.
The goal was to earn between $500 and $1000 during this experiment. (So far, they’ve made just over $400, but if you consider that the prelaunch still lasts another 2 days, they may reach their goal.)
For this experiment, Ran set up a basic mini site that showed visitors how to set up a blog in 10 minutes. The site featured a video that pre-sold Bluehost, which is a hosting company that pays affiliates a good commission.
Bluehost hosting was one potential source of income from this site. Another source of income was a $2.50 theme pack. The third source of income was Blogging To The Bank, which was offered in the e-mail follow-up series Ran had set up.
One of the key concepts of building lasting wealth is multiple streams of income. That’s what Ran did with this mini-site. The setup of multiple income streams is something that will be taught inside Insiders HQ.
Though the site was set up before the 29th of September, the experiment really started when Phil started driving traffic to the site that day.
On October 7th, 2010, Ran and Phil recorded a video showing their results. This 22-minute video was released on October 8th, 2010. Here are some of the details:
Phil used two traffic sources: Traffic Vance, which is a CPV network; and a banner campaign on Context Web.The campaign on Context Web was admitted to not be the best. In fact, Phil paused the campaign because it needed some optimization. It had a .09% CTR (clickthrough rate), which was decent, but not great, or even very good.As for expenses, Traffic Vance cost $238.60, and Context Web cost $298.58. That’s a total of $535.18.So far, they gained over 150 opt-in e-mail subscribers. This is noteworthy, because over time, these subscribers can provide an ongoing source of income for Ran and Phil.About $757.79 dollars in sales were made via Clickbank (Blogging To The Bank and associated upsells).$180 was earned via Bluehost’s affiliate program.$7.50 was earned via the theme pack offer.This comes out to $945.29.$945.29 minus $535.18 is $410.11
So, there you have it: over $400 dollars earned in the space of about 8 days.
However, with this, Phil make a disclaimer: he’s been doing this for a while, and has been doing it a lot. He’s not saying that you’ll get these results. Having said that, this is “a small, small portion” of what you’ll learn in Insiders HQ.
